A catch-all functionality that is activated for a specific e-mailbox will permit you to receive emails that are sent to email addresses that do not really exist. Otherwise stated, if you remove an email address and someone still sends a message to it, or to any miswritten email address under the very same domain, you’ll get the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature means that you won’t miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be vital in case you are running some company, for example. Since you may begin receiving junk email messages, you can combine the catch-all functionality with anti-spam filters so as to get only legitimate messages in your inbox. Only one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Website Hosting

If you have a website hosting with us and you’d like to activate the catch-all functionality for a given email mailbox that you’ve got in the hosting account, it will take literally just one click in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel to do this. A catch-all button is available next to each email address that you have created under any domain hosted in the account. You can choose one single email address per domain name by clicking the corresponding button. This will enable the feature instantaneously, so all messages sent to miswritten email addresses will be received there. Clicking on the button once again will disable the catch-all feature. If you have enabled email forwarding, our system will show a cautionary message and you will not be able to activate the catch-all feature till you remove the forwarding or you can simply choose another mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The custom-developed Hepsia Control Panel that is included with each semi-dedicated server package that we are offering will allow you to create a catch-all email mailbox without any difficulty even if you don’t have much email/web hosting experience. All it takes to do that is to click on the catch-all icon, which will be on the right-hand side of each email address that you’ve created using your domains in the Email Manager section of the Control Panel. Since you can have only one single mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will notify you if you have already configured a different catch-all mailbox or if the one that you’d like to use has email forwarding enabled. If you decide that you do not want the feature any longer, you can disable it by clicking once again on the very same icon. The Email Manager section will also permit you to view your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
